Lily Hooper is a committed Defense Paralegal with a strong belief in the importance of due process and the right to a fair trial. A lifelong Washingtonian, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Law and Policy from the University of Washington, where she developed a deep interest in the justice system and how legal institutions shape people’s lives. She is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor at Seattle University School of Law, where she continues to expand her legal knowledge and refine a thoughtful, client-centered approach to legal practice.
In her role at the firm, Ms. Hooper provides essential support to the defense team. Her responsibilities include managing discovery materials, drafting and organizing legal documents, communicating with clients, filing documents electronically with the courts, conducting case-related research, and assisting with trial preparation. She works closely with attorneys to ensure every case receives thorough, strategic attention from start to finish.
Ms. Hooper was drawn to criminal defense work by a personal experience that instilled in her a deep understanding of what is at stake for individuals navigating the criminal justice system. Her commitment to fairness, respect, and second chances shapes how she approaches each case and each client. She is particularly passionate about helping people feel seen, heard, and vigorously defended in a system that can often feel overwhelming and difficult to comprehend without legal support.
In addition to her professional work, Lily is interested in legal writing, courtroom advocacy, and the ethics of criminal law. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading nonfiction, spending time near the water, skiing, and running. She brings compassion, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic to every aspect of her role, and is proud to support the firm’s mission of standing up for the rights of the accused.
